For schools and departments
Reach the right students, not the whole campus.
Campus updates are one clean announcement surface for your whole institution. A school posts as itself, a department posts in its own voice, and every update can target the exact students who need it. They see it in their feed the moment you publish.
Free for 30 days. Departments are added by their school and publish on day one.

Spring registration opens Monday
Same feature, two voices students can tell apart
The school office and every department share one announcement surface. Students always see who is speaking, so a registration notice from the front office and a deadline from the engineering department never get confused.
The school posts as itself
Institution wide announcements carry the school name and logo, so the whole student body knows it comes from the front office.
A department keeps its voice
A department post shows the school name on top with the department handle beneath it, for example Lincoln University with @College of Engineering.
Students read it in one place
It all lands in the same campus feed, sorted and filterable, so students follow everything that matters without chasing email threads.
Target
Send it to the students who actually need it
Reach every student, or narrow the audience to the people the update is for. Filter by major, by broad major category, by graduation year, and by current class year. As you choose, a live recipient count updates, so you publish knowing exactly who will see it.
- Everyone, or a precise slice of the student body
- Filter by major, major category, graduation year, and class year
- Live audience preview with an exact recipient count
- No noise, students only hear what is relevant to them
Reach
Students see it the moment you publish

Oversight and history
Departments move fast, the school stays in control
Departments own their announcements day to day. The school can see every department update and, if something needs to come down, cancel it with a written reason that notifies the department and is recorded on both activity logs. Edit, cancel, and restore are all there, with a clear history so nothing is ever silently lost.
- School oversight over every department update
- Cancel a department post with a reason the department sees
- Edit, cancel, and restore, with a full record of changes
- Every action is logged on both the school and the department
A department speaks for itself, under the school it belongs to
When the College of Engineering posts, students see it as the engineering department, clearly attributed under the university. The department reaches its own students with its own deadlines and events, and the school name still anchors every post for trust.
See the department portal- Posts attributed as the department under the school
- Its own audience targeting by major and class year
- Its own categories, links, and event dates
- Followers of the department are notified directly
- Edit, cancel, and restore on the department portal
- School keeps oversight without taking over the voice

Questions, answered
What is a campus update?
A campus update is a targeted announcement an institution publishes to its students. It carries a title, a message, a category such as Event, Deadline, Scholarship, or Safety, an optional link, and an optional event date. Students see it in their campus feed and get an in-app notification, and it rolls into their next weekly digest email.
How is a department update different from a school update?
It is the same feature, posted by a different publisher. When a school posts, the update shows the school name. When a department posts, the update shows the school name on top with the department handle beneath it, for example Lincoln University with @College of Engineering. Students always see which part of the institution is speaking, and the department keeps its own voice.
Can I send an update to only some students?
Yes. You can reach every student, or narrow the audience by major, by broad major category, by graduation year, and by current class year. Before you publish you see a live recipient count, so you always know exactly how many students an update will reach.
How do students receive a campus update?
Targeted students see the update on their campus tab right away and get an in-app notification. The update also rolls into their next weekly digest email. Students and organizations that follow the school or department are notified in their own feeds as well. We do not blast direct email per update, which protects sender reputation and avoids inbox fatigue.
What does marking an update as Important do?
Important updates stand out in the feed with a clear flag so students do not miss them. For Safety advisories and anything that truly must reach inboxes today, the publish screen gives you a clean, copyable summary to send through your own school mail system, which students already trust. For emergencies, your school emergency mass notification system stays the primary channel.
Can a school control what its departments publish?
Yes. A school has read access to every department update and can cancel one with a written reason, which notifies the department and is recorded on both the school and the department activity logs. Departments own their own posts day to day, and the school keeps oversight without having to micromanage.
Can I edit or take down an update after publishing?
Yes. You can edit an update, mark it Important, cancel it with a reason that students see, and restore it later if needed. Every published update is kept with a clear history, so nothing is silently lost and you always have a record of what was sent.
