For students
One verified profile. You decide who finds you.
Build one profile that powers every application, and keep your resumes and documents in a vault only you control. Organizations, schools, and departments can discover you, but only on your terms. If you do not want to be found, you will not be.
Free for every student. Your findability is always yours to change.
Your profile
Fill it once, and it powers everything
Your profile is the foundation of your whole experience: your school and major, your experience and skills, your links, and the documents in your vault. Complete it once and it follows you to every opportunity, so applying takes minutes instead of starting over on a new website every day.
- One profile reused across every opportunity you apply to
- A secure document vault for resumes, transcripts, and more
- Verified enrollment that builds trust with schools and organizations
- Achievements, clubs, and activity that show who you really are
Discovery goes both ways
Everyone can find everyone, the right way
StudentLife OS is one connected platform. Organizations, schools, and departments each have a full public profile, and you can open any of them, follow the ones you care about, and message them directly. The same connection works in reverse: the organizations and institutions you engage with can discover you, follow your activity, and reach out, always within the limits you set.
- Open any organization profile: mission, benefits, and open roles
- Open any school profile and the departments inside it
- Open any department profile and see who is hiring
- A verified badge shows which institutions our team confirmed
If you do not want to be found, you will not be
We value your privacy, so you are in control of how visible you are. A few clear switches decide who can see your profile, whether you appear in search and directories, and whether anyone can message you. We enforce every one of them on our servers, so a setting you turn off cannot be worked around.

Profile visibility
Public means members who can reach you may open your profile. Private means only you can see it. Switch any time.
Show in search results
Turn this off and you disappear from search, directories, and the contact lists organizations use to find students.
Allow messaging
Decide whether anyone can start a conversation with you. Turn it off and your inbox stays closed to new outreach.
Enforced everywhere, not just hidden. When you turn findability off, we stop returning you from search, directories, organization contact lookups, and the cohorts our matching uses, on the server side. There is no URL, link, or seat that reveals a student who chose to stay private.
Stay informed
You always know who is interested in you
When an organization, school, or department views your profile or moves you forward, you get a notification, and your Notifications tab keeps a clear, running record. You never have to guess whether your application was seen. The same notification system keeps you on top of messages, application updates, deadlines, and security alerts.
- A Notifications tab that tracks views, messages, and application updates
- Know when an organization, school, or department views your profile
- Follow institutions and get updates from the ones you care about
- Security and account alerts surface here too, never buried

Questions, answered
Who can see my student profile?
You decide. By default your profile is set to public, which means other members of StudentLife OS, including organizations, schools, and departments that are allowed to reach you, can open it. If you set your profile to private, only you can see it. You can also turn off Show in search results so you do not appear in directories or search, and turn off messaging so others cannot start a conversation with you. Every one of these controls is enforced on our servers, not just hidden in the interface.
What happens if I do not want to be found?
Then you are not found. Set your profile to private or switch off Show in search results, and you are withheld from search, from directories, from the contacts lists organizations use to reach students, and from the cohorts our matching uses. An organization, school, or department that does not already have a legitimate connection to you will not see your name, your details, or even that an account exists. This is enforced everywhere the data is read, so it cannot be bypassed by changing a link or URL.
Can organizations browse every student?
No. There is no all-students directory for organizations. An organization can only reach students through a legitimate connection, such as a student who applied to its opportunity, and only when that student allows it through their findability settings. Schools see students affiliated with them; departments see the students they serve. No portal can browse the entire student body, and each portal is an isolated compartment.
Can I see organization, school, and department profiles too?
Yes. Discovery goes both ways. From your account you can open the public profile of any organization, school, or department, follow the ones you care about, and message them directly. You see who they are, their open opportunities, their departments, their upcoming career fairs, and a verified badge when our team has confirmed them, so you can research an opportunity before you apply.
Will I know when someone views my profile?
Yes. When an organization, school, or department views your profile you get a notification, and your Notifications tab keeps a running record so you always know who is interested. On some plans an organization may appear as a named viewer; the controls and the notification are yours either way.
What is in the document vault, and who can read it?
The vault holds your resumes, documents, and achievements with strong encryption in transit and at rest. Nothing in your vault is shared automatically. A document is only attached to an application when you choose to attach it, and verification documents you upload to confirm enrollment are only ever reviewed by our trust and safety team, never shown to organizations or schools.
